Oloolua Nature Trail (Opening hours 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday‐ Sunday (including Public Holidays)
Oloolua Nature Trail in Nairobi provides you with an ideal gateway for a quiet unwinding environment. Though not for long hikes, it's one among the most noteworthy hiking trails in Nairobi. This trail is a wonderful place for people who love short walks, practicing their mutts, or a loosening up barbecue in a tranquil milieu.
The main fascination here is the trail that winds through the dense woodland, trailing the Mbagathi River, covered in different fauna and flora.
Huge riverside bamboo bushes tempt you to plummet an old staircase to the conduit and realx on seats provided. A papyrus marsh down the stream also gives another look into the rich biodiversity of this native woodlands.
Further, the trail moves out of the stream valley, incidentally blasting upon dells showered in splendid sunbeam before plunging back under the shade of the cool boondocks cover. Going further, flimsy wooden stairs lead specifically to the notable underground caves believed to be the hideout to the Mau Mau warriors. A solid load of guano underneath and the accidental disrupting impact of bats shuddering past you draw out beyond all detectable inhibitions the nearness of a bat territory inside.
